Fiddler can help troubleshoot a variety of issues and is especially useful when troubleshooting behavior
that is only reproducible from specific locations or computers.
These instructions were last updated in conjunction with Fiddler versions 4.5.0.0 or 2.5.0.0 for Windows
OS
- Go to http://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler
- Select the version you want to install
- Click Download Fiddler
- After your installation is complete, open Fiddler and set it to decrypt traffic
- Click Tools > Fiddler Options.
- Click the HTTPS tab.
- Check the Capture HTTPS CONNECTs box.
- Check the Decrypt HTTPS Traffic box.
- Note: If the above instructions do not match your version of Fiddler, try going to the fiddler
documentation site for the latest version: http://docs.telerik.com/fiddler/ConfigureFiddler/Tasks/DecryptHTTPS
- Once Fiddler is set to decrypt traffic, run fiddler while the DPC is open in IE. Perform the tasks
that you are having trouble with. For example, if you can’t connect to another site through one
of our application links, click the link so Fiddler can catch that behavior. If you are experiencing
slowness, navigate to the locations that are particularly slow in the DPC. - When you have a good sample captured in Fiddler, choose File > Save > All sessions. Make sure
to save the file with a .saz extension.
